Dollibox October 2017

Based on the success of last month's Dollibox, I was excited for October's. What I enjoy about this box is that you get zero clue to it's contents. You're left in the dark until you open it up. I love a surprise.

I was half expecting a Halloween themed box because it's that time of year. That honestly would have slightly annoyed me because I'm not a fan and I don't appreciate it being shoved down my throat every year, like it's a thing that matters. It's not that I don't appreciate the aesthetic, because the Halloween themes are generally visually pleasing to me. It's that I hate that as a country we've adopted this nonsensical "holiday" as a custom, basically because the Americans do it we have to as well.

So, you can imagine how glad I was to open the box and find only one Halloween-ish item.

Dollibox October 2017

Heng Fang Highlight Liquid £10.53 (13.99USD)
Schwarzkopf Osis Session Label Hairspray Travel Size (full size £12.40)

Box Cost: £10.00 + £13.90 shipping = £13.90
Box Worth (excluding Schwarzkopf) : £21.21

I couldn't include the hairspray as I wasn't able to find the cost of the travel size again. But without it, it's still worth a lot more than I spent.

I'm really very happy with this box. These are things I buy quite a lot and I will definitely make use of them. The only exception is the wax melt, as I don't tend to bother with them so often, I prefer jarred candles as I like to chop and change what I use - but I know someone who would gladly take it off my hands.

I've been into Palmer's products lately, so that is a nice addition to my small collection. As well as the Patisserie de Bain lotion. It's in the scent Cranberries and Cream, smelling absolutely stunning. It's perfect for this time of year as its a bit of a Winter-y scent. I love having a backup hairspray and you can never have too many face masks! I'm saving my thoughts on the highlight as I think it deserves a post all of its own!

  1. Looks like it was a good box :D I don't care too much about Halloween either, i like the decorations but I don't know why we have adopted the tradition over here either.
